JEE Main 2018 - Registration Process, Important Dates, Complete Details

Central Board of Secondary Education conducts JEE Mains every year in the month of April. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) is a national level entrance test conducted for admission to NIITs, CFTIs, and IIITs. Those who qualify JEE Main 2018 will be eligible for JEE Advance 2018 and could get admission to IITs. Applicants who have passed 10+2 with minimum 75% marks in aggregate (65% for SC/ ST candidates) or were in the top 20 percentile in the examination conducted by the respective Boards are considered eligible for B.Tech admission through Joint Entrance Examination Main. It is mandatory for the applicants to possess Aadhaar card as they have to provide their Aadhaar card details in the application form.

JEE Main 2018 Application Form

Candidates shall fill the JEE Main 2018 application form online only. CBSE will release the form on its official website in the month of December and the application window will close in the month of January. Application fee could be paid in both online and offline modes whichever is suitable. Applicants shall read the information brochure carefully before filling the application form. They must keep their Aadhaar card, passport-sized photograph, signature and left thumb impression handy at the time of filling the form.

Application Process

Students shall follow the steps given below while applying for JEE Mains 2018.

  • Register yourself on the website of JEE Main and generate a password. Use your id and password to login into your account and fill in the form.
  • Carefully enter all the correct details (personal/ educational) and recheck it before submission.
  • Upload all the necessary documents viz. photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and Adhaar card.
  • Pay the application fee online through Electronic Payment Gateway (EPG) or offline through e-Challan.
  • Take a printout of the application form for future references.

Application fee could be paid either through Net banking/ Credit, Debit card or through e-Challan to be submitted in any one of these banks viz. ICICI/ Syndicate/ HDFC/ Canara bank in cash.
