Knowledge of tools and apps is essential to run your business online. You need right tools to do the things right. No single tool can work magic; you need a combination of these and little bit of training too. Without training one cannot get desired benefits as promised by the tools developers. Whatever tools you decide upon to use, whether free or paid or a combination of both, must put time in learning of these together with your coworkers.

Sir Richard Branson often says; "Time is the new money". While doing business you not only need to cut on spending but also save on time and turn more productive. To help you in taking your enterprise to next level here are eight free tools for business

1. Boomerang For Gmail

Gmail is most popular free email service today and with Google Apps for business it’s growing rapidly. At times, you need to write an email just now but truly want to send it later as you fear your email may get lost in the receivers inbox by the time he / she really check. This is where Boomerang for Gmail comes handy. Get this tool to schedule all important emails for a given date and time. Personally I like ‘Read Receipt’ feature of Boomerang. When an email is Read I know instantly. Basic accounts are eligible for sending 10 messages per month. If you are a big business subscribe for paid plans.

2. Trello

Work from Anywhere is cool, however, comes with many challenges. Being a business person you need to travel a lot. This is where Trello comes in business. I view it as a Blackboard over which everything is written and everyone from the school can view. When you make use of Trello, everyone knows about the newly assigned task; what’s coming next in the pipeline; who is working on what; and changes in deadlines etc. It has boards and cards to help you and your team in task management. Users can upload files, add comments, create checklists and assign due dates etc. If you are small business subscribe Trello for free, however, large size enterprises can chose for paid plans e.g. Business Class or PRO.

3. HelloSign

World is going global; sitting at a Goa beach you may get a business deal from London or Paris. When deal struck you need to exchange signatures. Sign Up for HelloSign and eSign documents without hassle of paper work. You can request for eSign from 20 different people. HelloSign works on encryption technology; you don’t need worry about security while signing important business or legal papers.

4. Slack

Slack is awesome productivity tool to help you in collaborate between work groups and save on loads of time. The Slack’s Home Page reads : NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory is one of tens of thousands of teams around the world using Slack to make their working lives simpler, more pleasant, and more productive.

For small team use of Slack is Free; however large businesses can chose for paid subscriptions.

5. LeadIn

Do you have a website or blog built on Wordpress? Now get insights about your visitors using LeadIn WordPress Plugin. You not only know who visited your website but also know what they are doing. The Plugin generates automatic insights about everyone who fill out a form. It’s developed by HubSpot and integrates with programs like MailChimp, Constant Contact, and Campaign Monitor.

6. Dropbox

Dropbox is my personal favorite since years for storing important files and collaborate between team members. I love its referral program. When I refer to a friend and he/she makes Sign Up for Dropbox, I get extra free storage. Being an IT Guy while on the move the only thing I carry in my head is; 'What is my Dropbox?'

7. Google Apps

I like working with Google Apps especially when I am away from personal computer and traveling without laptop. For the purpose I go Incognito in Google Chrome from any PC, work with Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Sites and share with my colleagues. To start using Google you simply need a Gmail Id.

8. Canva

While working for a famous social media company as Web Producer, my main problem was working with images, as the task was truly time consuming. This is when I came across Canva.com, a great tool both for designers and non designers. This proves big time saver for me while making Images, Graphics and Infographics.

Okay, so those are some free tools I take in use for work. Do you know a free tool that can make the difference in the lives of budding entrepreneurs? If yes, share here through comment box below.
